Brandon: So why is it...
...that when I want to be creative, and fix all the logic problems in my code, I get lethargic, and sit around doing nothing, playing oldskool RPG's, and wanting to buy a Greatest Hits copy of Hot Shots Golf 3?

I just can't get into the mood to do any work. I guess part of it is the fact that my ACCIS schooling is beginning, and the whole Proctor thing has me worried. But anyways.

Brandon: Bah...
Just saw The Matrix Reloaded....

bah.

Spend umpteen million dollars on effects, and spend 27 cents on a script writer. Come on. It could have been SO much better.

You could have cut out at least 30 minutes of the movie and it still would have been good. Probably even better than it was. But come on.

Of course, I'll probably be apologizing when I get around to seeing the next movie. Hopefully The Matrix Revolutions will explain some things, and not get an R rating strictly on a 5 minute nude rave scene.

Bah...

Brandon: As far as that goes...
Well, been rather busy this week. Re-wrote G5's colision detection code, and now it's 1/3 of the size for MUCH better functionality. Hooray for optimization.

Since I have tomorrow off, I'm hoping to get some more of it done, but don't know. I've been kind of idle latley, not wanting to do much of anything.

I'm trying to get a transfer to a new job opening at the Best Buy in Springfield. I'm hoping that it goes through because not only will I be only 5 minutes from the workplace, but I will be doing computer tech work, instead of crappy sales. Woohoo!

Brandon: Development Reflection
Well the contest came and has gone. Voting does not take place until next week. There are some rather impressive entries into the contest. I'm impressed with what people can come up with in such a short time.

It also was a very educational experience. I found that G5 is still using a lot of legacy code from it's humble origins. Some things are just very ineficient. I'm going to re-write large chunks of the loops that run every frame to increase it's speed (Not that's slow, it just could be faster) and work on making the engine more flexible. I want to move more of the object, NPC, and interactive things into the map editor, to make it easier than just giving map coordinates from a script. I also want to make the map editor a lot easier to use as well as keep it from crashing so often ;)

Sheesh, thats a lot to do. But I do want to finish Trevor: Gaiden, just for my own sake. I havent done much for S+F recently. The TimmyR engine is coming along. I still need to figure out some 3d maths that I just need to sit down and calculate on paper.

Anyways...
