Brandon: Development Updates
Well, having only 48 hours (well, 36, actually) to develop a game's content and debug the thing is a rather short time, considering that there is employment stuck in the middle there, and the fact I was gone all afternoon yesterday ;)

I keep finding more and more issues with the G5 engine as I develop Trevor: Gaiden. I do hope that I can get it finished, but it looks like I'm going to be stuck with a walkaround demo with a single town and a single puzzle. That's alright though. I will take the time and finish it and actually fix the engine bugs as I go along. I plan on re-writing a lot of the NPC code, as well as the object code, maybe even implement some of that into the map editor.

Speaking of the map editor, I have a boatload of bugs to fix in it. Although it is a lot nicer than it was before.

Well, anyways, back to work...

Brandon: 26 hours in...
Well, i've added a lot of functionality. I need to add bombs, and some puzzle solving stuff, but that will come soon. Hopefully I'll get most of that in by tonight, then the rest of tomorrow will be map making and scripting.

What fun ;)

Brandon: Arise, my son...
Have to head to work this morning, which sucks for the 48 hour contest.

But, I did get a chance to work on the engine a bit more this morning, adding darkness code for the underground levels. It's like Zelda on crack ;)

Brandon: 4 and a half hours in.
Looks like we got some scripting problems sorted out, and I have the first 5 maps linked together, still need to make some changes real quick like, but that's ok. I think I'm going to hit the sack, and continue tomorrow.

Here's hoping I can get it all done.

Brandon: RPGDX 48 hour RPG contest, take 2
We're two hours in, and what do I have to show for it?

1 map, and half a dozen fixes to the map editor. Eeek!
