David: Mashing Up With The Mandalorian
I'm loving this series, and the different visions captured by the different directors. The genre mashups are fun, and the proficiency with which they're being handled makes me think of Quentin Tarantino.

Which made seeing "Directed by Robert Rodriguez" a fun moment after the most recent episode.

Everyone has said this is the best thing Disney has done with Star Wars since buying up the IP almost a decade ago.

I know I should eventually give it a shot, but I am actually really burned out on Star Wars after the disappointing finale of the Skywalker arc.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, I guess. I've been a fan since probably '92 or '93 though, so it almost hurts me to admit I've lost a lot of interest.

The timeframe and the characters give it a feel that is more of a nice blend of OT and the clone wars series. It does suffer from the galaxy being a little too small (Tatooine, again?), but I think that Star Wars functions better as an adventure serial than it does as an action movie.

I suspect the sequel trilogy to be largely ignored going forward.
