Nathan Tyree: Infected
I got the game ‘Infected’ for the PSP. The damn thing is addictive. Infected is a goofy little game- a Zombie shooter. Zombies have over run New York and you are a police officer. During the initial onslaught you are bitten, but do not change into a zombie. It seems that you are immune to the zombie virus; so immune that a single drop of your blood will kill any zombie it touches.

You are equipped with a special gun that shoots blood directly from your veins. You must roan NYC killing zombies and saving civilians. During the course of the story you encounter zombie Santas; Giant zombie beasts and all manner of dumb civilians.

I can’t stop playing this game. It’s infectious.

Another fun (if simple minded) zombie game that I’ve played recently is Touch the Dead for the Nintendo DS. It’s a good way to kill a few hours.

Nathan Tyree: Zombies, Beauty Queens, Photos, Sentences
A lot of stuff going on.

I found a great forum for those who love zombies (or Zombie Killers). It’s called Zombie Nation (www.zombie-Nation.net). You might check it out.

My cousin Katie is a high school senior this year. She was a candidate for Miss Columbus (a pageant thingy that the town of Columbus has been doing since he dawn of time). My entire family had to go to the pageant as well as an interminable banquet before hand. The food was mediocre. The “entertainment” was appalling. The entire thing last as long as the Jurassic period. That was Saturday.

Friday Sarah judged a photography contest. There were ninety entries across five categories with entrants from three states. It took her hours, but she really enjoyed it.

This all made for a very busy weekend.

In writing news, there’s a piece up on One Sentence.

Game Logic is up on Microhorror. If you check out the story then be sure to have a look at the details of their upcoming Halloween Story Contest. I won last year's contest and can tell you that they really come across with some cool prizes.

Six Sentences is going to take Space Men.

There's some new stuff coming soon on Magazine of the Dead.

Nathan Tyree: Behind the Mask

A few things of note:

Magazine of the Dead has a shiny new story for all to enjoy: Magazineofthedead.blogspot.com.

Lee Marvin Gets His Ass Kicked in Denver is on-line now at Diddledog: http://www.diddledog.com/0704tyree.html

I highly recommend a film called The Man Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. It may well be the best deconstruction of slasher films ever made. It certainly beats Scream all to hell. Be sure to see this movie.

A great little ‘zine called Diddledog is taking a story of mine called “Lee Marvin Gets His Ass Kicked in Denver”. I’ve considered this story a hard sell, so I’m really glad to see it find a good home.
