I was googling myself (yes, yes: I tend toward narcissim) when I found a hit on a web site dedicated to the work of Brett Easton Ellis. You know Ellis: he Wrote American Psycho and Less than Zero.

It seems that I was being discussed on that site. Yup, Mr Overby is Falling has been noticed by fans of Brett Easton Ellis. I immediately joined the site.

So, suddenly everyone is rushing to do anything and everything they can for the victims of the hurricane. I find it fascinating that in the case of the natural disaster Americans rush to help with money or food or clothes or whatever.

At the same time, millions of Africans are dying, not because of a storm, but because they are the wrong race. We call it genocide. And, frankly, Americans don't give a shit.

Genocide is a way of life for our species, and we don't get very worked up about it.

And while we're talking about Lousianne, have you noticed that no one really gave a fuck about all of those people when they were just poor. But now that they're poor and wet...
