Nathan Tyree: Larry King Smells Like Cheese
Having at look at the amazon page for Mr. Overby is Falling, I discovered a new review. Someone in White Plains, NY loved my book!

I have a sick cat. The poor kid broke his leg and now must live in my bathroom. Cat's look funny when they hobble around on three legs.

In other news: I've been thinking about dogs. Some dogs have a look to them. It's the expression on their face, but it's more than that. It's the way they carry themselves; the way their tails stand up and seem to wag of their own volition; the roll of their shoulders when they walk; the erect positioning of their heads. What I'm talking about here is that look that says: "I'm so happy to be a dog." When a dog has that look it's the first thing you notice about them. You see it before you can make out their breed, or their size. That look is a look of utter joy in each moment of life. Joy that is created by nothing more than sheer existence.

Humans don't have a corresponding look.

Nathan Tyree: George and Laura- The New Borgias
George W. Bush likes to Kill. We all know it. He's a murdering bastard. But, did you know that his wife, Laura Bush, is a murderer too? The truth about Laura Bush, the butcher.

Just thought you should know.

Nathan Tyree: Ringu
Tonight, after I clock out at Pizza Hut for the last time ever, I'm going to watch Ringu. It's the Japanese film that inspired The Ring.

Saturday night I went to see The Village, the new film from M. Night Shyamalan. He's the guy behind The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable.

I don't want to give much away as the film is being sold on its "twist" ending, but I do want to say that this is the most political movie I've seen all year. It is fiercely anti-Bush. This si a movie that would have right wingers up in arms if only they understood it.

Personally, I recommend seeing this film. It is solid political filmmaking and manages to be entertaining at the same time.

In other news: I may grow a beard.

And then there's this

By the by, I have a new thought. I realized this the other day: we are Godzilla. Think about it.
