Did you have any music idols as a teenager?
Kurt Cobain, and then John Frusciante was a big idol. He did solo records, and they’re really fucked up and experimental. And then I was really into the Pixies and Frank Black’s solo stuff, Bob Mould’s project with Sugar. But the big one was when Nirvana was happening when I was, like, 14 years old. I still think they were a fucking great band.

the other day...

a man asked me: "where are you going?"

a child looked me in the eye, and asked: "why does it seem that hate can hurt more than love can heal?"

a woman swollen with child turned tearfilled eyes to me and asked: "why are there people out there that might one day kill my baby?"

a dying man laid limply upon the bed but for his eyes, which were full of the question: "what happens next?"

a newborn babe turned wide innocent eyes to me and with those baby blues, asked: "what is life?"



i replied to all: "I do not know."




anywho. i got new flipflops!!! YAY!!!! and i squished through mud. it was fun. :D

i dislike the people in charge of the college.

when one takes out a plus loan, the bank (lender) gets to keep a percentage of the loan. it's nice that they tell you that in all the papers and stuff you read for taking out the loan. it's also nice that we took out a loan for just the exact amount that was required, and they kept about $100 of it.. so i was under w/ that, then the school charged me a late fee, because i didn't pay the little that wasn't received, because i didn't know i owed it! so, i ended up owing about $130, which i paid today, out of the little bit of money i got back from the taxes.. and i'm not just a little mad about it. it's not enough that they charge thousands that we're gonna be paying out of our asses for years to come, but they mess things up even more! grrrr...

oh well, this, like all things, shall pass.

i really am too mellow. lol. oh well.

i have some tropical jolly ranchers. they're pretty tasty.

i now have four unnatural holes in my body.. up until tuesday, i'd only had 2.

they're progressing quite nicely..no pain, no ooze, no blood (aww, shucks!), no swelling. overall, this piercing experience is going quite smoothly. which is nice. i think they look good, personally... hehehe..

i love jeans. :D

i got anger management and resident evil (the first one) on dvd the other day. i've seen both resident evil movies, and i thought they were good, so i'm buying them.. hehe. and the other has adam sandler... so it's all good.

the snow's been melting during the day, then it's been pretty cold at night, so it's been really hard in the mornings and evenings.. hard enough to walk on a couple inches w/o sinking in. what fun!

i've been cooking and making real food a lot lately... i love dennis' place.. and the kitchen is perfect for my food-making. :D it's nice to be able to have real meals w/ him, and then spend time together and stuff, w/o the distraction and disturbance of being in the dorm w/ lots of people and nowhere to go but from the desk to the bed. *sigh*

cranberry juice is mighty fine!

maybe i'll burn some cds for people today. that's always fun ;) hehehe...
