Beowulf: Anyone here write for the WB?
Jesus Christ people, are we trying to get our own over-the-top drama on the WB? Throw in some too-beautiful-to-really-exist 20-something breakout actors and you'd have another one season hit.

Now, nitrus, put your dick back in your pants. Nobody wants to have a pissing contest with you. I know you're somewhat intelligent. Think about what it's really going to accomplish when you use someone elses password. What did you get done with this whole debacle? You figured out their passwords, added some disparaging and erroneous posts, and then admitted to acting like an ass. Did this accomplish anything aside from making everyone look at you like a dick? What were you thinking? What were you hoping would happen? I don't understand why you would do something stupid like this.

And please, feel free to get my password and screw with my journal. But at least make it funny if you do. And keep in mind that I can do the exact same thing to your journal.

Anyway, I have a new monitor. It's pretty, oh so pretty. It's much better than the dying peice of crap I had before. It also looks wider than normal monitors. Maybe it's not and my eyes are just playing tricks on me.

Mood: Ugh. Why nitrus, why?

Beowulf: Thoughts
Like usual, it's been a while since I've posted. Since last time I've moved home with my parents for the summer. After living alone in my apartment in Pitt, this place is noisy. Mother insists on speaking to me on occasions. Father turns the tv up so damn loud that you can hear it clearly anywhere in the house. The dog smells like rotting flesh. And the cat, well the cat is fat. Obese. Incredibly horizontally inclined. So fat in fact, that he can't lay down properly anymore. When he rolls over he ends up on his back, almost high centered.

But all that's ok I guess. It would be better if mother would stop listening to the same five "Praise and Worship" cd's and constantly telling me that "you're running from God."

Anyway, that's enough complaining. Recently I've had some strange thoughts brewing in my head.

In Blade, why is it so bad to be a vampire? The good guys say that it's a curse to be a vampire. But all the vampires in the movie seem damn happy about being vampires. Maybe it's not so bad. Hell, with the blood banks, you dont' even really have to kill people. And what's up with the blood pouring out of the sprinkler system. It's their freakin food. I would be disgusted to go to a rave and suddenly have the buffet table thrown all over me.

Almond Joys have nuts. Mounds don't. Does that mean that the Almond Joys are male and Mounds female? Is there a brothel somewhere full of Mounds doxies? A place where the Almond Joys show up, pay their money, have a good time, and leave. What about the factory that makes them? Are there lots of Almond Joys and Mounds gettin it on and making little Almond Joys and Mounds?

Do Hobbit women shave their feet to be sexy? Human women shave their legs. But do Hobbit women shave their feet?

Brandon and I have discussed this one in detail before, but it seems appropriate to put here. Why does noone use the bathroom in Star Trek? Do they have bathrooms or is there a special room of Bodily Waste Monitoring Specialists who sit there all day and watch the vital signs of bowels and bladders of every member of the crew. When the bladder or bowels reach a certain point they beam it out automatically and eliminate the need for a bathroom. And if they did that, would the bladder squeezing muscles atrophe? After several generations of this would those muscles become vestigial organs or would they just be bred out entirely?

Well, that's all for today folks.

Mood: somewhat tired

Beowulf: It's been a while
It's been a little while since I've posted on here so I thought it might be time for an update.

This week is dead week here at Pittsburg. Teacher's aren't allowed to assign major assignments or to have tests. However, this does not stop them from assigning large assignments just before and having them due during dead week. So far, I have a ten page paper, ten minute speech, huge COBOL program, and the final version of my Java game due. But it's all good. The paper is almost done, and the speech will be a breeze.

The Java is coming along slowly, and yesterday I made a lot of headway towards getting it all done. That makes me really happy. But the COBOL.... That's a different story. I really should get started on that but it's not due until next week. That should give me pleanty of time I hope.

On a happier note, this Saturday I'm heading up to the big ole KC with the Chinese Culture Club. Earlier this semester the president talked the school into allocating a boatload of money for the club, and they've hardly spent any of it. So they're taking me and a couple other people to KC to eat out and go to the Taiwanese consulate/embassy thingy there and to a couple of chinese markets there. Good food, beautiful and interesting company, and I get out of Pitt just before finals. What more could I ask for? Ok, yea, more money, but beggars can't be choosers.

Oh, and congrats to B and Fuzmeister and the rest of the group on your game and the Lik-Sang thingy. That's bloody awesome.

Well, it's time to get to class and I've rambled enough for today.

Mood: It's almost 8. Time to go to my most boring class. ugh.
Music: Irish Descendants
Browsing: Sun Java homepage. I think I hate Java now.

Beowulf: Far, far away
Well, as all of you already know, I'm here in Alexandria visiting the brother. Right now he's being all nostalgic and stuff playing the old school Wing Commander 2. He talks to the game as though it might respond like his Unreal Tournament 2004 does. It's not working.

Just to let you know what I've done so far (like you really care), I went to the Smithsonians and looked at a new Buddha statue exhibit. Also there was an exhibit on Chinese Calligraphy and products of the Silk Road. It was all terribly fascinating.

After that I wandered down to the Lincoln Memorial. The dang thing is bloody huge. And I was dissapointed because the reflecting pool wasn't exactly reflecting. It was empty.

Following that dissapointment I wandered around a lake aiming for the Jefferson Memorial. Along the way I went on the "Cherry Blossoms Walk." I suppose this would be far more beautiful later in the year when they're blooming. I'll have to come back and see. The Delano Roosevelt memorial is actually pretty awesome as far as memeorials go.

Today I wandered around other subway stops just to see what I had missed before. Dupont Circle is an interesting place. It has lots of specialty shops. Hehe, I even went into a bookstore that had a complete bar and cafe in the back. You could buy your book, then sit and drink whatever your poison may be while reading it. Also in the actual circle at Dupont Circle they had Chess tables. Some of those homeless guys are damn good.

During this walk I discovered that testament to people's gullibility and L. Ron Hubbard's persuasive powers. Yes, I'm talking about a Church of Scientology. I hope to return and get a picture in front of it. Oh how people will beleive anything.

Finally I ended the day by traipsing about Gallery Place/Chinatown. I still didn't discover anything new about Chinatown. However, somehow I ended up finding Ford's Theater where Abe Lincoln was shot. It was more interesting than I thought it would be.

Tomorrow, B is off and we plan on sauntering over to the International Spy Museum and eating at BD's. I don't know which one I'm more excited about.

Oh yea, adn Mike's American Grill is the shiot.

Beowulf: Good Luck
Well, today is the day you guys must submit your game to the contest. Just wanted to wish you guys good luck. Not that you need it. If it were a horse race, I'd put my money on your pony any day.

On another note, next Monday I'm going up to Alexandria to hang out with Brandon for a week. I'm really looking forward to it. Like always, being away from school and parents bodes to be a very good time.

Well, I'm off to learn chinese. Again, good luck.

Mood: Took a nap. Very good.
Music: Train
