fuzmeister: That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore

It was tradition back in the day to play this brief "song" at or near the end of our sets. It took on some legs of its own and became kind of an inside joke among the more-hardcore of the already-small fanbase.

Originally, I recorded a home demo in 2007 as an homage to the absurdity of Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica" LP. If you want to explore the sonic possibilities of straddling the fine line between chaos and order, seriously listen to that album. It's bonkers and you'll probably hate it, but you might find something that worms its way into your psyche.

Anyway, someone messaged me today about the availability of the original home demo recording for this one and I had a serious trip down memory lane. Some things are maybe better left without context - I like to hope "Pants" never defined those early shows we played, but some things are out of my control.

Enjoy your Saturday. -ST
