nitrusoxyde: How do you spell relief?
Well, right now I'm spelling it C O R Y. I am really surprised how much stress relief just talking to someone again can be.

Besides the fact that I am talking to Cory again, I got some new gizmos! The combined fact is making this week shape up much nicer than the past few.

First off, mom gave me one of the old laptops. I think its partially due to the fact that she doesn't want my faggot father to use it against her when he's trying to take shit from her during their divorce...but anyway.

I'm trying to get Windows 2000 running on it - but that's prooving a bit difficult. Drivers for the integrated sound card/modem/ethernet card are hard to find, and Windows2000 isn't finding them. Perhaps I'll try XP pro?

I also got a NEW DIGITAL CAMERA... totally rad. Its the worlds smallest 3.2 Megapixel camera. Here's the Exelim EX-S3 Website. [link below]

There are a few reasons I got it... Number one is obviously the form factor. The thing is *LITERALLY* the size of a credit card that's 3/8ths of an inch thick. Secondly, its got to be the fastest camera I've ever gotten my hands on. The power-up takes about 200ms, and there's about a 350ms lag time between taking pictures. This sucker is blazing. The other deciding factor is what makes it a great camera for ANYONE - a full 2 inches of LCD and a menu driven interface that would make SONY jelous.

The thing retails for $350 at RadioShack, but of course we all know I got a discount. (And a nice payment plan...)

Speaking of RadioShack, I was #1 associate in the district last week. I raked in around $20.40 an hour. I beat the second place associate by almost $5 an hour. Our STORE is doing awesome. We had 4 of the top 5 associates (AKA our entire store). I think my boss is pleased with me, hopefully I can keep this up.

nitrusoxyde: As per N2O.NET
Well, I suppose I should update, since I haven't in a while. This is like the fourth time I've tried to update, but I have a nasty habit of surfing to the JPL site when I stop typing. :P

SPEAKING OF JPL! Who hasn't been keeping up on the NASA Rover missions to Mars? UBER COOL STUFF! Check it out at the official site [Listed Below].

Anyway, I've been having killer days at RadioShack. Its a job that's constantly motivating me to work harder, and working harder makes me more money. Commission is god. I sold like 12 phones this week, and that means that our store is doing awesome - and when the store does well, so does my pay check. ;)

I won't call it my 'love life', but part of my life has been doing really well. I met a girl named Cory, who is absolutely awesome. Its odd, because when people ask about her - that's the only word I can use. Awesome

We went out for the first time yesterday. We've been talking alot over the past week or so. Its nice to get to know someone's personality, and realize you like them BEFORE you blow a wad of cash on them. After the arcade, dinner, laser tag, and 4 hours worth of driving - I'm only wanting to go out with her again. :)

We played DDR at Towne West in WIchita for about an hour before we headed to dinner. I feel bad because I talked up a mean game and got owned! Playing in the arcade is SO different from the home versions.

We ate at Osaka Japanese Fantasy Steakhouse. (Say that 3 times fast...) Its one of those places that cooks the food infront of you. Besides the fact that yes, the food was awesome - even the sushi.... it was ENTERTAINING! The cook was hillarious. My steak had "magic mushrooms" and he put "Japanese Marijuana" on our fried rice. 8 foot flames and the comment "You want jerky, or crispy steak?" in response to "well done" made it quite the place. (*****)

After dinner it was off to Towne East, but alas the arcade was closed. I met a few people Cory hangs out with and they were really nice, we didn't hang out though - it was off to Laser Quest for a game of laser tag.

Its been my policy for quite a while now never to get my hopes up. After what I went through with past relationships... (insert 5 minutes of typing and deleting)... I just don't want to go through it again. Sometimes though, not getting your hopes up is a hard thing to do. The only thing I can say for certain without risk, is that I hope Cory is around for a while. :) She's awesome.

THIS CONCLUDES MY UPDATE! Thank you for reading. :P

nitrusoxyde: Modified Lyrics
Every great once and a while I add lyrics to my blog as a post. I always leave them intact, except to fix spelling errors. This time - I've just gotta change them a little.

You know I've started to grow since you've been away
Lately it's scarier not knowing what's become of you
Oh you're proud of me now, I can tell
I'm not as fearless as you
Still I pretend that you're still standing by
To show me wrong from right
Never got a chance to say goodbye

Chorus:
Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

I used to think you were crazy
When you were hooked to the screen
But now they tell me that you're in a better place
But where did you go? (But where did you go?)

And I swear sometimes you're watching over me
Still I'd give the world for the chance
Just to forget you for good
Still I pretend that you're still standing by
To show me wrong from right
Never got a chance to say goodbye

Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

(Now) Now there's nothing left but time
Now that I'm forgetting you
Maggie's always on my mind
And it makes me wonder (Makes me wonder)
What happened to you?
You know it makes me wonder
Still I pretend that you're still standing by
To show me wrong from right
Never got a chance to say goodbye

Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

Take this gift from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

Take this guilt from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

Take this guilt from me
Hold it deep in mind forever
And never let this go

And never let this go away
And never let this go
