Brandon: FLoCing
I've added a header that disables Google FLoC for this site.

Seemed like a decent thing to do.

Brandon: One Year
It's been a year since I've been working from home due to the current pandemic.

It's been quite a ride. Not sure I'm used to it just yet. There are things I like about it and things I don't. I've worked harder than I ever have before. Spent way too many hours at my desk. I'm not a fan of the new normal. I've added a lot of items to my bucket list, all because being unable to do things makes you want to do them more, even if you may not have done them in the first place.

Being denied is a bitch.

I got my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine this past Saturday. So at least I have that going for me. Too many people think it's over, when it's most certainly not. Put your fucking mask on!

Brandon: The start of a new year.
It's amazing just how human beings have a capacity for compassion. The things we can do for each other is absolutely stunning.

However, it seems we have the same ability to inflict harm on others in the same quantity.

This crazy ride is starting to become tiring.

Also: Fuck Trump, and all those domestic terrorists.

Brandon: It has been a good run America
With Bernie out of the race we're basically fucked. Biden, even if he does win the election, has no progressive agenda, and will do little to make things better for the United States as a whole.

The Internet was a bad decision. Echo chambers upon echo chambers. We're in a post-truth society and Idiocracy is a documentary from the future.

Although in that future, the president actually wanted to make things better.

Brandon: The worst timeline.
I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and the last three years will have all been a bad dream.

I know politicians are corrupt, but I could not imagine how blatantly corrupt they are. It's like they don't even care. It's obvious they care more about their jobs than what is right.

I wrote my Senators expressing my feelings. How their silence makes me wonder just how many laws they break to stay into office. Of course the single reply was just a form letter, probably from some keywords or something in my letter.

What frustrates me the most is that people I know, people that I care about, educated, intelligent people, are fine with what is going on. They sit in their echo chamber and listen to lies and misinformation fed to them and are not willing to understand the facts.

It's madness, I tell you, madness.

Also, I support Hong Kong. I'm glad that they are fighting for their rights and what is just. I hope they succeed.
