Nathan Tyree: Sex Nuts and Dancing Strong
Last night I was re-watching Clerks II. This movie has actually done something that no other has: it has made me like a song that I had previously actively disliked. Let me explain:
I despise the Jackson 5. They were a novelty act of the worst sort; worse even than The Osmonds. True, as an adult MJ managed a few good songs (not as many as most people seem to think, though), but the family band only annoyed me.
But, that scene in Clerks Deus has actually caused me to like the song ABC. I had never believed that that could happen.
More Clerks stuff for Emerson:
Hey, without using any reference sources, can you tell me which scene in Clerks II is an allusion to The Shining? Just curious if you caught it.
In other news, I have learned that anything you wish to say, no matter how disgusting, depressing, or evil, can be made oddly funny by instantly following it with a badly sung version of Elmo’s Song.

I almost watched this last night myself, but opted for a reviewing of "Borat" instead. Now I wish I had watched this, as I might have been able to answer this question.
I'm gonna guess the "Pillow Pants" bit, just because of the creep level (and maybe the music?). It's the only thing that I think would qualify, but I didn't recognize it as a reference.
