Nathan Tyree: Obama, Clinton, John
Last night HRC and Obama played nice. There’s a lot of talk this morning of a Clinton-Obama ticket. I don’t see that. Maybe it could play the other way around? I think that either of them needs a white male southerner as their running mate in order to shore up support in those big southern states. Right now Obama is in the lead. He has the most delegates( 70 to 58). He’s also positioned to pick up more of Edwards’ supporters than HRC does. Plus, he must picked up the Kennedy endorsements.

In CA, by the way, it is now withing the margin of error.

I think Obama is the nominee.

Over in the Grim Old Party it looks like McCain has come back from the dead and is now the candidate to beat.

In personal news: I have to drive to fucking Franklin to Caucus. What the fuck. I don’t even know where Franklin is. Kansas is really pissing me off. We should be a primary state. This move to a Caucus (I believe) was designed to suppress voter turn out. It’s going to work, too.

And now a word from our sponsor:

Poor Mojo’s Almanac(k) is going to publish “And Still We Fell” soon. I like PMJA (that’s what the kids are calling it these days). You may recall that they took my “Notes Toward a Unified Philosophy”, which is such an experimental piece that I worried about it ever finding a home. This new story is less experimental, but a tough sale nonetheless. It takes a ‘zine with stones to want it.
