Andy: Only here are the boats as slim as women; and the women, as slim as boats!
The temperature in this place is on par with a gigantic meat cooler. And that is another example of entirely old hat analogous reasoning. It’s becoming worse all the time; with every passing moment it's harder to be original, or spontaneous in the true sense of the word. The way we think - or - our entire cognitive abilities swirl around what we’ve experienced in the past... and I am beginning to think that originality is on the other side of the scale. Experience outweighs imagination – but this cannot be! What a miserable life if would be if this were the case.

So, where is originality [going if it is going]?

A lot of poets and musicians claim divine inspiration, but I'm skeptical of this; it seems like a lazy excuse to describe their creative abilities tersely. Why don’t they just come out and tell us what it is, and tell us precisely -

Mood: Overworked, but mysteriously calm about it
Music: Turtle Island String Quartet - Straphangin'

To me, being creative is the most important thing in my life right now that I can control.

if it's controlled, though, then it's not spontaneous is it?

nope
Demannu - (<--- Eats Worms)
"Divine inspiration" sounds better than booze, drugs, madness, stupidity, etc...
Nathan Tyree - (Overwhelmed by existential angst)
Id and ego battle constantly. Bad brain chemistry causes eruptions of hubris. The book to read here is Will you Please be quiet, please by Raymond Carver.

I remember my last hubris eruption. What a mess!
