I don't get why people can't just talk shit out in today's world. Things have always been screwed up, but you think being such an "advanced" "species," we'd have better ways of dealing with differences. Here's hoping what Benazir Bhutto stood for does not fall by the wayside.

The world needs more revolutionaries today. Where are the Lennon or the Marley of today?

Another Christmas has passed us over and, for that, I am quite happy. We're living in a society of apathetic idiots where the majority of holidays lost their true meaning years ago.

Spiritual or non-spiritual, religious or non-religious... everything's a wash. Cartoon mascots ease their way into our hearts prodding our wallets to spend on things we don't even truly understand.

And don't even THINK about not participating, because regardless of how "cool" people might be with it, they're not.

I strongly urge people to just not participate in such things. That is, unless you want an excuse to forget the purpose of them the rest of the year...

...or just a reason to see people you're related to and hate but don't have the guts to tell them you do.

I'm back in Lititz for the Christmas holiday. The traffic coming home today was kind of busy, but I made it home in under 4 hours... maybe it was under 3 and a half; not sure.

Last night I was at Kate's parents' house. She and I exchanged Christmas presents since we can't be together on the holiday. She got me a 30GB Zune (a blessing after this past years' iPod debacle for both of us) and some other great stuff (Ghostbusters gift pack and Nirvana Unplugged on DVD, anyone?). Problem is, I need to update the Zune software from the internet and I'm on dial-up at my parents' house. It's 33 megabytes, but it feels like a billion.

In other news, the Weather Channel has released a CD with some of their most popular music that is played during the local forecast segments. That's just funny to me for some reason.
