fuzmeister: Practice Makes Better

Tonight I had practice with my bassist Tony and sax player Dave as I do most Wednesdays. I know most of my songs well enough, but it really helps to go through them as a group as we are trying to get up to gig speed. I thought tonight was one of the best practices we had. We mixed up the set-list a little bit going through some songs that I don't think any of us have played in a while. A particular favorite of mine was Bubble King which I think went off perfectly and sounded awesome.

In other news, I feel like Kate is having a bad week so far... worse than it ever should be. I wish I knew what to do.

It was nice to come back to where I'm from for a couple of days, but the memories are just too overwhelming. How does life feel for people who have woken up from a coma and try to readjust to normal life? I don't want to know - change isn't bad, but realizing you're now a visitor in a place you once weren't feels like it is.

I had a dream the other night where I had two spines side-by-side, next to one another. I'm not sure what anatomical purpose this had, but it didn't seem to affect my ability to walk or anything.

I just ate a can of tuna with fat free ranch dressing - honestly a pretty good late night snack if you think about it... filling, low in fat, and pretty tasty.

I prepared three more demos to send out tonight - I feel happy just knowing that my music is getting out there to someone.

So far, Super Mario Galaxy is a really great game. I'm not terribly far into it after one night (I have about 20 stars), but it's definitely got some really fun parts.

Plus, they brought back the super challenging bonus stages from Sunshine that everybody but me hated... actually, probably everyone but me hated that game.
